Welcome to St. John's Cougar Athletics. Over the course of the school year, St. John's offers a variety of opportunities for students in grades 5-8 to participate in sports. At these grade levels, young athletes are at an ideal age to continue exploring sports and developing the skills to play them. For that reason, all students are eligible and encouraged to participate.

To facilitate participation, St. John's has a "no cut" policy. This gives the privilege to all athletes to grow and play during practices and games. Team experience is offered in volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, and track.

St. John's also runs a variety of summer camps for students in third through eighth grades. There are separate camps for general volleyball, volleyball setters and hitters, and a basketball camp. Depending on the number of camp attendees determines how the age groups may be divided for these camp opportunities.

Competition is provided through the school's participation in the Fox Valley Lutheran Athletic Conference, regional tournaments, and occasionally at the Lutheran Sports Association (LSA) state level.

Parent volunteer support helps this program offer the diversity it does and provides the help needed to fill the many roles necessary at each game: concessions, admissions, scorer's table, and also coaches.
