Pre-School through Second Grade Christmas Program
The younger children are always thrilled to present the Christmas story in simple recitations, songs, and visuals. The program traditionally begins with singing Away in a Manger as the children enter the church with some of the students dressed up as the main characters of the Christmas story. For this special event all children are invited to make an ornament with their family that is then used to decorate the trees in the chancel area. This year's program will be on December 13th at 4:00 P.M.
Third through Eighth Grade Christmas Program
All students in these grades are able to participate in the presentation of the Christmas story and its relevance for us today. This year's program called It All Happened in the Country will be held on December 20th at 4:00 P.M. The music is contemporary in style and allows for the upper grade students to have acting parts. Try-outs for these parts will be held on October 22nd. Those who are chosen for various singing and acting parts commit to after school rehearsals to polish their parts in the program.
