Type 1 Diabetes

Please view this document from the Illinois State Board of Education for more information: Understanding Type 1 Diabetes for Parents and Guardians Type 1 diabetes is a chronic condition in which the body does not produce insulin, a hormone that helps change sugar (glucose) from food into energy.
